Have you ever wondered how do people add backgrounds and change the color of the text in their e-mails? I will explain that to you.
Step#1: Click on Mail Step#2: Look on the sidebar and click on Settings Step#3: This will take you to an page that has several options, Look in the upper right hand corner of the page and you will see Signature, click on it. Step#4: You will see a rectangular box. This is where we put the codes. Place your cursor inside the box and scroll all the way to the top. Nothing can go before the opening <html> not even a space. <html> <body bgcolor="black" text="white"> </body> </html> Note: Now we have a black background and white text, but we must back out of this, here is how you do that. Cursor out of the box you will see a button that says Done click on that. This will take you back to the page that had all of those options on it. Look at the bottom of the page you will see a button at the bottom of this page that says "Done" click on that. Now go write you an e-mail and look at your work. Pat yourself on the back. Oh you want to add an image to that E-Mail? Ok lets add an image. It will be the same steps as above but it will only mean adding one more code to the signature box. <html> <body bgcolor="black" text="white"> <img src="http://members.tripod.com/~flasher2/gifs/horses.gif"alt="horses"> </body> </html> This will give us this ![]() Lets load them and make a mistake on the address of the horses ok? See that blank box? That usually means you have made a typo on your address please go back double check the addy of the gif again chances are you made a simple mistake. One last code then we will be finished..Lets add some music to this mail ok? <html> <body bgcolor="black" text="white"> <img src="http://members.tripod.com/~flasher2/gifs/horses.gif"> <bgsound src="http://members.tripod.com/~flasher2/country/countryroads.mid"> </body> </html> Lets review what we have done so for. We have went into ur signature box and loaded a background, text, image, and song. The most important thing to remember is that you use only one opening<html> at the beginning and only one closing</html> at the end of the code.It doesnt matter what you put in between them. Let your imagination be your guide.<grin> Here is an example of what it will look like in your signature box Notice how the addy to the horses have my name? That is because I have them uploaded to my site. Without doing that I would be "stealing" someones "bandwith". If you do not have a web site and need someplace to get those images these two gentlemen have very graciously offered to let you use theirs. Please check the wonderful pages out.
